LEAF COLLECTION UPDATE: Our collections are under way and our crews are working as fast as our equipment allows. We have about 100 miles of roads to clear leaves from. Our trucks require 2-3 people each to operate safely for leaf collection. We also have crews running additional trucks full of leaves to the disposal sites. It is an extremely slow process. This year we were hit by a sudden falling of leaves earlier than normal which significantly slowed our process (more leaves means more time at each property to collect the leaves). EVERY municipality is experiencing the same issues. We did order an additional leaf collection vehicle in 2021, however it will not arrive until 2023 due to national supply chain issues. Calling our office to express your concerns will not accelerate the process. Please be patient and please thank our crews when they do come by your property. Your leaves will not be collected if there are any items other than leaves in the pile - i.e. rocks - as they will destroy our equipment and put an end to collections in the Township. We also cannot collect if there are parked vehicles anywhere near your leaf pile as we need plenty of room for manuevering our equipment.
